Practical courses are operated from our home base in Kip Marina, The Yacht Harbour, Inverkip. Join the yacht between 18:00 and 20:00 on day one as we settle in with some introductions and planning. You can expect to be finished by 16:00 on the last day of your course.

Skills Weekend

Whether skipper, mate or crew one of the most important, and stress reducing skills is manoeuvring in a marina. Tie that into trying to figure out what the weather is doing and the journey become a lot easier. Join one of our senior instructors onboard for a skills weekend

This course has a mix of practical and theory session, focussing heavily on the practical aspects of manoeuvring, line control and yacht setup

Activities will include:

  • Working with the weather

  • Berthing

  • Fender and line management

  • Tight spaces and escape routes

  • Creating a happy team
